To become a member, please fill out an application so that we can better acquaint ourselves with you and your aspirations. The application is meant to highlight your goals, achievements, and introduce you to like-minded people to expand your network. Once your fill out an application, you will be added to the mailing list and notified of professional and networking events, internship/job opportunities, advice from professionals, and special events.
We welcome applications from all universities, colleges, and schools. Currently, we have received applications from Harvard University, Stanford University, Northwestern University, and many more prestigious universities.
2) Are only women permitted to become involved with ASPIRE Woman?
No, ASPIRE Woman extends invitations to the general public.All are welcome to attend, join, and participate.
3) How do I become a Board Member?
Currently, Board positions have been filled for the 2007-2008 school year. To become a Board Member, you must answer the additional questions listed in our application. We are excited to bring on a range of committed leaders from all majors, interests, and backgrounds. As a Board Member, you are expected to attend all of the Board Meetings in order to make organizational decisions, provide feedback, and update fellow Board Members the progress of your initiatives and Committee Members. Board Meetings are bi-weekly unless otherwise stated. Time commitment is approximately 3 to 8 hours per week.

4) How do I become a Committee Member?
If you are interested in becoming involved with the ASPIRE Woman leadership, consider becoming a Committee Member. Committee Members enjoy the benefits of a "rotational" style experience where they are assigned a diverse range of tasks ranging from grant filing to strategic marketing initiatives. Serving as a Committee Member is the most suitable option for those that: 1) Have other commitments 2) Desire a more flexible option 3) Want to gain leadership experience. Time commitment is approximately 1 to 3 hours per week.
Members are able to serve on multiple committees: Marketing, Public Relations, Finance, Newsletter-Editor-in-Chief, Initiatives/Research, Organizational Relations.
5) What is an Affiliate?
Affiliates are organizations and/or companies who share an interest in supporting women in the business community.
Benefits of being an Affiliate with ASPIRE Woman include:
- Increasing your network of business-minded women - Cross-marketing of organizations and companies - Opportunities to hire and recruit talent from the top universities in the nation - Invitation to professional, training, and networking events - Sponsorship opportunities - Opportunities for joint ventures

7) How do I set up ASPIRE Woman at my school?
Currently, we are focused in the Greater Los Angeles area and are open to establishing honorary chapters at universities throughout the nation. Our goal is to expand the network of business-minded women. Honorary chapters are encouraged to:
- Post frequently on the Forum - Contribute articles, press releases, and advice for the newsletter - Invite women as prospective members and potential speakers - Subscribe to the newsletter to receive updates on the latest professional and networking events
8) What are the costs associated with ASPIRE Woman?
There is no cost to being a member, Board Member, Committee Member, mentee, or mentor. We fund our activities through grant filing, corporate sponsorship, and donations from community members who support women in business leadership.
9) How do I become a corporate sponsor?
ASPIRE Woman greatly appreciates your generous contribution and donation. A special portion of the newsletter will be dedicated to your organization and/or company, highlighting your support for our organization. Please contact us at: info@aspirewoman.org for a Corporate Sponsorship packet.
10) How do I become a Mentor?
Mentors are business-minded women who reserve a portion of their time to guiding and serving as role-models for the members of ASPIRE Woman. We would greatly appreciate your time in helping shape the young women in the organization who seek to achieve the same goals in the near future. Please consider becoming a Mentor if you are:
- A college upper-classman with significant work/research experience - An MBA or advanced degree candidate - A member of the academic community - A working professional - An entrepreneur - A retired business leader

11) How do I become a Mentee?
Please fill out an application and circle "Mentee" on the upper right-hand corner. You will also be required to attend a 30-minute seminar on "Successful Steps: Building a Mentor/Mentee Relationship" during the school year.
