ASPIRE Woman is an organization designed to empower and lead women of diversity who aspire to become business leaders. Founded in 2006 at the University of California, Los Angeles by two women, ASPIRE Woman seeks to create a network of ambitious, driven, and talented women.
The organization meets bi-weekly for Board Meetings as well as campus-wide events ranging from professional speaking events to networking events. Board meetings consist of planning, leadership development, training, and mentorship from successful business and community leaders. During each event, the highlights will consist of a forum discussion as well as a "role-calling" portion where women can voice their current initiatives and seek helpful advice and support.
Members of ASPIRE Woman will have Mentors who are college upperclassmen, graduate students, and business leaders. Members will also contribute by serving as mentors for high school students, underclassmen and through volunteering at Riordan Scholar sessions at UCLA Anderson School of Management.
